Houston Street Comp #5 aka H-town Showdown went off March 20th, 2004 with a big bang! iLL Faded hosted this comp with the help of Brian Vogels sponsor hookups. The amount of people that came out was unreal, and the support was incredible. Things started off slow but started to pick up at the 2nd spot and at the last spot things got hectic. John Sullivan held his ground with truespin mizou's and switch ups down the hightower drop rail, and Pancho with his truespin kindgrind down the drop rail. Milton got best trick for jumping from the top of the rails to the flat over the drop rail. I think that overall the competition was a big success, and was better than i expected. We hope to have a hell of alot more comps, and hope everyone liked it and comes out in the future. Anyways after the comp, we headed 45 minute's to Galveston so we could throw down the afterparty at Josh's beach house. We bought around 100 dollars worth of cheap ass beer and got faded consuming it in less than 2 hours. Alot more people came to the party than expected but the more the merrier, right? Drinking on the beach, 'fumigating' looking at the stars, it doesnt get any better than that. We woke up the next morning to Jeff Lab's dumbass running around with a jellyfish in his hands. Then Josh got really pissed and kicked everyone out at 8 in the morning. This is Jose Gorbea signing off with happy memories.... :)
